Central Vermont Mission COVID19 Policy
The COVID19 Pandemic is a challenge for all of us, particularly for those who travel. It is imperative that any group coming to Vermont as a VIM team must follow all Vermont State Department Health guidelines click here and all UMVIM protocols click here. Once on the UMVIM site click the "For updates on COVID-19" at the top of the page.
The Vermont Department of Health webpage is updated daily. Click on COVID 19 IN VERMONT to find all the information you will need. It provides a map of counties from which one can travel without quarantine. This map is updated weekly. Presently (10/20) there are very few safe counties, due to outbreaks. No one knows how this will change by mid-2021. It also lists various options for quarantining and testing protocols. If people can reach Vermont in one day’s drive from a safe (Green) area, no quarantine is required. Otherwise strict quarantine will be required, which would make a week-long project impossible.
These regulations are complex, and in some cases overlapping. So, please read them carefully.
We really want to have groups come and we think it can be done safely, but we realize we are living in strange circumstances, and such travel and work will require due diligence on all of us.
